This one was pretty fun. I'd say the acting overall isn't as good as the last two, with the exception of Robert Englund giving his best performance so far as Freddy Krueger. The real star of the show this time is the dream sequences. The creativity has stepped up a lot compared to the first film, likely due to the higher budget. I do have some issues with some tonal inbalance in the story, but overall I think the decreased focus on scaring the audience to instead entertain with the dream sequences worked in its favor.

With the fourth film I'm definitely seeing the cracks start to show. The dream sequences are incredible as always, but they're connected by a story that is much less fleshed out than the previous films. I do think this movie's tone is more balanced than Dream Warriors, but I think overall this functions as a slightly inferior version of that prevous film.

This one was reallly rough. Once again, this feels like an inferior version of the previous movie, which overall wouldn't be so bad except for the central plot point of the protagonist's unborn child. This element, and all other decisions related to it really drag down the rest of the movie. It also doesn't help that the dreams/kills are overall less creative than the previous two films, with the exception of the motorcycle scene. From what I've heard, the next movie is even worse than this one so I'm certainly not looking forward to it.
